FieldSource-Energy Services (FS-ES) has successfully completed a turnkey project to replace an existing LM2500 gas turbine to assist customer bringing reliable grid power back online. 

After experiencing a catastrophic failure to the gas turbine, the customer contacted FieldSource-Energy Services to assist them in getting back online as quickly as possible.  The turnkey contract was completed in 40 days. 

FS-ES worked closely with PowerPartner Ltd - a Swedish based equipment supplier to provide a zero-hour overhauled LM2500 base SAC unit with water injection.  The project included arranging logistics of intermodal shipment by air/sea from the warehouse in Sweden to the site, and removing the old turbine from the existing enclosure.

Upon completion of installation and commissioning of the newly purchased turbine, FS-ES worked with McHale Performance from the USA to conduct site testing to verify the performance and output of the turbine, followed by emissions testing done by US based TRC Environmental to provide the certificates and ultimately approval by local EPA to be able to operate.  

The installed turbine had better than expected test results for both performance and emissions and the team was recognized for a job well done by the customer.

The installed gas turbine package provides power for up to 15,000 homes locally, and is a vital part of the local power grid.
