FS-ES selected by Chromalloy-TSL for key outage in Jamaica
Turbine Services Ltd - a Chromalloy company recently selected FieldSource-Energy Services to provide a team of engineers, supervisors, mechanical and electrical technicians to perform a critical Hot Gas Path Inspection on a 40MW gas turbine in Kingston, Jamaica.
FS-ES put together an experienced team from the USA, Turkey and the Philippines who completed another project on time and on budget. The team worked alongside the lead engineers from Chromalloy TSL, and the end customer to perform critical tasks for the inspection and reassembly of the gas turbine and components.
Hurricane Ian was hundreds of miles away, but the impact on weather and working conditions could be felt even at the jobsite. "We had to stop work for 2 days because of the heavy rain, wind gusts, potential for flooding", said one of the technicians working at site. "There was a tremendous commitment to the safety of all personnel and relative to all aspects of being on the jobsite. That included performance of our critical tasks, and also being vigilant of mother nature".
